New Packaging Collection: Cupola Collection

In today’s retail landscape, it is critical that jewelers find ways to set themselves apart from the competition. One way to do it is with on-trend packaging. Bufkor has always led the way in luxury packaging innovation. Once again, our design and manufacturing teams have developed an exclusive new packaging design for our most discerning retailers. Bufkor is thrilled to release our newest packaging line: The Cupola Collection.

The Design Process

It all began a few years ago, when our design team was working on a spirits package using thermoforming, and a light bulb came on. Why not experiment with this technique to create fresh shapes for jewelry packaging? What caught our attention was that the use of styrene for the shells permitted for more complex shapes. Our designers could offer steep angles, sharp corners, and bold curves. But this did not come without difficulty. After deciding on the shell design, we wanted to use, the challenge was finding the right fabric to cover these new luxurious shapes. We completed a worldwide search for the most elegant materials, followed by a rigorous testing protocol. In the end, our professional designers curated three distinct fabric types to offer within the Cupola Collection.

For a stylish closure, we experimented with different techniques such as tensioned hinges, snaps, and magnets. Finally, we selected a fabric covered magnetic latch to complete this sophisticated luxury package.
