We were beyond thrilled to launch at JCK Las Vegas our newest packaging line: the Cuppola Series. Our design and development teams have been working hand in hand for the last year to perfect this new design. The end result was nothing but spectacular!

It all began a year ago, when our design team was working on a spirits project using thermoforming, and a lightbulb went off. Why not experiment with this technique in order to create fresh shapes for jewelry packaging? What caught our attention was that the use of styrene for the shells permitted for more complex shapes such as the dome top, steeper angles and more pronounced corners. But this did not come without its challenges. After deciding on the shapes we wanted to use, the challenge was finding the right fabric to cover the curved shapes.

For closures, our teams experimented with different techniques such as metallic hinges and magnets before choosing a snap closure with a fabric hinge which wrapped perfectly around the boxes’ curves to make for a perfect closure!

It has been a year-long process of design and testing and we could not think of a better venue to launch this project than JCK Las Vegas.
