Salvadoran designer Lula Mena, came to our parent company SigmaQ for a last minute luxury packaging emergency. Lula Mena is recognized internationally for her artisanal sustainable jewelry, accessories and woven products. Every article is handmade by Salvadoran women from at risk communities, who she trains and guarantees permanent employment. Princess Anne of England and the FIRST organization invited Lula to receive the Dahrendorf SME 2019 Award. This recognition is awarded to companies which practice responsible capitalism.
Since our parent company, SigmaQ, is collaborating with Lula by donating second hand materials and supporting her sustainable design projects, Lula requested a last minute packaging for a blanket and bed runner, handmade by her artisans, for Princess Anne of England.
In less than 48 hours, SigmaQ designed, developed and produced this luxurious customized box. We used a mix of premium materials including wood with a satin finish and cardboard, as well as laser engraving. The box was made up of separate levels that contained each item in order to achieve greater impact and provoke a true unveiling experience,
We are proud that our packaging has reached the English Royalty.
